Application for
exploration and exploitation concession
If a foreign or
domestic company wants to submit an application for an exploration concession
for an area in Lao PDR there are two possible ways.
The application can either
be sent to the: in the central government

Alternatively, the
application can be submitted to the Provincial Department of Energy and Mines
in the province in question.
The Committee for Planning
and Co-operation Department of Domestic and Foreign Investment. The committee
will send the application to Ministry of Energy and Mines, which will ask
Department of Mines and Geology for their comments. After the appropriate
authorities have dealt with the application it will be forwarded to the Prime
Ministers office where it will be approved.
